THE CRAFT SALE AND OPEN HOUSE at THE RIVER on Friday, November 2, is worth a trip downtown. It's open between 6-8 p.m. In addition to crafts to admire and buy, there will be live music, fun, and hot cider, and a chance to see what this great resource is all about.
In case you don’t have time to go tomorrow night, click the link below for more information and pictures from a blog I did a while back. Enjoy tomorrow and get involved.
THE RIVER - A HELPING HAND FOR WOMEN IN JOHNSON CITY, and an opportunity for service for women who are blessed and want to pass it on.
THE RIVER is a store-front ministry in downtown Johnson City where women who need a hand can go to do laundry, shower, read, talk, learn skills, relax in safety. There's a section with toys and books for children. It's a safe place to relax, read, visit. Women can sew, learn and practice computer skills as well as take care of daily needs. (123 West Main Street, Johnson City)
Staffed by volunteers, THE RIVER can use helping hands in lots of ways: Time, money, prayer, skills, or items. Call 926-8111 for more information, whether you want to help or need help.
